My work is based on sensory experiences of the coastline between the Dyfi and the Dysynni. It intends to convey the movement and energy of interacting elements as I move through the landscape. Things glimpsed from the corner of the eye punctuate a moment in time and become markers of change, linking past and present. I am interested in interaction, boundaries, coastlines, tidelines, locations where lines are drawn, and what happens when we lose sight of a horizon. My relationship to place and the relationship of paint and canvas are central to my work.
