For my final semester I have illustrated The Soul Bearer which is loosely based on Bulgarian folklore and culture. It tells a story about how the emotion of losing and grieving for a loved one can drag you deep into despair. A mother named Vihra goes on a journey to retrieve her son’s soul from the Cursed Forest which many villagers believe only exists in a folk tale. But what if it is real?
