I have always been fascinated with Greek mythology and quickly became drawn to their often-forgotten heroines. Tarot cards offered the perfect opportunity for me to celebrate these women’s stories, as the storytelling capabilities of tarot cards communicate their individual narratives and a collective story across the deck. Originally, tarot was used in card games for the 15th century upper classes, before falling out of fashion because of their divinatory uses and novelty. Today they are used as tools for self-reflection and self-care, where these figures act as a guiding hand for the reader through the applications of their myths.
