The supernatural thriller book series Lockwood & Co. by Jonathan Stroud follows a group of young adult ghost hunters who run a psychic detection agency in a dystopian version of London. The books appear not yet to have been illustrated and so I am able to let my imagination run wild. My aim was to show how scary, mesmerising and dangerous these ghosts can be. Working digitally has allowed me to both achieve a luminous quality as well as later transform my 2D illustrations into animations.
