BA Celfyddyd Gain / BA Fine Art
From an early age, nature has brought me peace and tranquillity and it will always be a source for my creativity. However, my work is not particularly focused on formal properties such as line, colour and perspective. Instead, it seeks to comment upon the legacy of the industrial revolution by juxtaposing mechanical forms with a natural, balanced world. I intentionally draw with a sense of fragility as a way of reflecting upon the devastating damage done to our ecosystems by mankind’s blatant and ignorant pursuance of technology and profit. By primarily working in black and white, my work aims to represent the industrialisation of ethereal environments and the catastrophic disintegration of Mother Nature.
