My painting is always involved with people that I see around me; random people on the street doing daily activities. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I can’t go out and I am afraid of going out, so I start to do a painting from a photo I took of a family member when I spent time with them in the past. I have left most of my photos in Malaysia, so eventually I start to find another way for myself to paint, during daily conversations, using FaceTime, with my family, cousins, and friends. This has become my theme.
